When I think of Gamestop, I think of a reputable game retail company who only wants to give gamers what they want. And behold, they have graced gamers with something we’ve all wanted since we heard Halo 3 was being developed, Halo 3 inspired accessories. The controllers and headset will be released in September and retail for $59.99. Here’s the description of their Halo 3 controller:

True Halo fanatics will be able to extend their gaming experience with the Xbox 360 Limited Edition Halo 3 Wireless Controller.

Great googly moogly! Are they serious? I cannot believe that gamers would fall for this obvious attempt to milk us out of our hard earned moneys! In Gamestop’s description of their product, it states “True Halo fanatics”. Soooo, they’re telling me if I don’t buy their crap product that I’m not a true Halo fanatic? Having $60 more in my pocket makes me less of a gamer? I really can’t fathom what would possess people to go into Gamestop and actually ask for this product, because you know there are going to be a few mindless sheep who are dumb enough to get it just because it’s Halo 3 related. To you sheep I say, you are the problem! Stop buying this crap so I don’t have to sit here and write articles reprimanding you on your dumb purchases! Stop buying the Halo 3 energy drinks, Halo 3 sneakers, and Gamestop produced Halo 3 accessories! Or better yet, just say no to Gamestop. Buy from Amazon.

here’s a thought… if you don’t like them, THEN DON’T BUY THEM!!! I agree about Gamestop milking us, but seriously, buy what you want, I kind of like the headset, wish it was see through like the halo 2 one, but oh well… one of each for me…

while the controlers aren’t that great, the headset is kinda neat. Though if you have a problem with it,there is a simple solution: don’t buy it. No one will think less of you.

Well since I bothered to read the description,
Stunning original artwork from comic book master Todd McFarlane (Spawn, Spiderman) on a high quality, scratch and wear resistant surface.
Includes an exclusive collectible Halo 3 figurine from McFarlane Toys.

I’m guessing that the artwork from a legitamate artist is cause for the price. Artists were selling plain black drawings for 5-10 bucks at comic con so I think you get what you pay for. How much would you pay for a drawing from him? Better yet how much would he charge to do it. Plus it’s only 10 bucks more than a regular wireless controller. I think the controllers are set at a fair price and the limited edition controller is the same price as the other one so what’s the big deal?

Umm. I’m pretty sure those are 1st-party Microsoft accessories and not from GameStop. GameStop just so happened to be first in posting them on their website.

In my last sentence I meant limited edition headset…lol. The headsets are the same price.

Boo hoo, I don’t have the scratch for Halo accessories. Woe is me, I’m a TOOL who has to gripe about stuff I can’t afford.

Look, it’s fun to jazz up your console when a hot new game comes out. I’m going to do the same thing with the Simpsons skins.

Get a life and move out of your parents’ basement.
