gamestop1 GameStop No Longer Offering Xbox 360 Product Replacement PlansA leaked GameStop memo has revealed that the chain will no longer be offering Xbox 360 Product Replacement Plans for new, used, or refurbished consoles. Stores will continue to honor current plans out there however until they expire. The reason for doing this? Apparently the stores were losing way too much money from the plans. You can see the full memo at Gamers Reports.

Kind of sucks that they have to scrap the whole plan, but it makes sense if they’re losing money from it. At least Microsoft still has their own warranty on the system, but then you still have to wait a month to get your 360 back, rather than just swapping it at a GameStop.
