Games Responsible For Penn State’s Road To Victory

Penn State handled the Tennessee Volunteers with an easy 20-10 victory back in January in the Outback bowl. Was it superior coaching during the game that won it for the Nittany Lions, or did video games have a little something to do with it? According to Paterno, their QB’s best game of the season was accomplished due to the fact that he started using football video games as a training tool. Penn State’s offensive plays were programmed into EA’s NCAA Football which gave Quarterback Anthony Morelli an easier way of learning the offensive plays and how to properly read defenses. Morelli completed 14-of-25 passes for 197 yards and a touchdown and finished the season with 3 wins in a row. He started using the video games for training just before the streak started. We all know football games get more and more realistic every year, and it looks like more football organizations are starting to use them for training players. I’ll be curious to see how well Penn State does this year and if they have continued with the use of video games for training Quarterbacks. This year’s college football season is just around the corner from getting into full swing. I’m going to call it now and predict the Virginia Tech Hokies win it all this season. I’m biased being a Hokie myself, but it’s nice to believe.

Lawls? Well, not like Penn State is notable for much else. At least we can have a winning football team and almost interesting trivia fact about training with football games.
