Gamer Taken out of School for Making Counter-Strike Map

A high school senior from Clements High School was removed from class after school officials found out he made a Counter-Strike map that looked just like his school, which is located in Texas. Fort Bend Independent School District spokesperson Mary Ann Simpson told ABC News, “It was the exact replication of the campus. There were players in the game that were armed and the purpose of the game was to shoot and kill.”
Anyone who knows anything about Counter-Strike knows you can make a map of, well, just about anything. This student chose to recreate his school, and everyone freaked out.
The student was placed in an “alternative education program,” and the student’s parents have appealed the decision. His lawyer said in the ABC article that this was definitely a mistake. “Looking at the criminal definition of terroristic threat, we’re not even close to that definition. There was no criminal intent, there was no intent to harm anybody,” he said.
Any Counter-Strike players outraged?
Pretty soon we won’t be able to make any maps of any real world locations because they could be used as “murder simulators”.

i go to this school. it pisses me off so much that they punished him IT IS SOOOO STUPID. THIS PISSES ME OFF MORE THAN ANYTHING THAT THIS SCHOOL HAS DONE TO SOMEONE. and have you guys heard of ashton glover? that happened at this school too. i hate clements.
Any idea how to get the map? I know a ton of people who’d love it…
I don’t play CS, but the fact that they did that to him over a game map is just lame. I swear, people are too paranoid these days.
Yea it was really gay, i go to the school to, the way they treated him was fucken gay as hell, its a great map too.
