GamePolitics’ Top Ten Biggest Video Game Scandals of All Time

We’ve all heard about the Manhunt 2 ban and I don’t think Hot Coffee brings java to mind of any gamer. However these are only some of the latest video game scandals that have created a sensation and raised public up roar to fuel the fire and bad press on video games. GamePolitics has their top ten list of video game scandals. From the secret gay kiss embedded in SimCopter to Night Trap planting the seeds of the ESA and ultimately the ESRB, there are quite a few other notable incidences that haven’t helped the public see video game in a more positive light.

While the list is was created for fun I can’t help but feel disturbed and saddened that in truth, these incidents are what the general public associates with video games and gamer culture. The industry definitely needs to take a good hard look at its self from an outside perspective and figure out how to generate more positive press.
