Gameboy Survives Gulf War Bombing; Weirdest Mod Ever

Some mods involve hours of meticulous work and dedication. Other mods just sort of happen when you leave a Gameboy in a barracks that gets bombed. That’s exactly what happened to this unit during the Gulf War, and the sucker just kept on running. Right now, this half-melted Gameboy is on display at the Nintendo World Store in New York City, so all may watch it’s amazing ability to run Tetris despite its complete lack of a face. It just goes to show that barracks these days should just be made out of old Gameboys.

Oh man, that is awesome. Gameboy ftw.
That is awesome
Yep. Awesome. It has a nice feel.
hahaha I’ve been linking this to everyone I know.
It’s old news, but it doesn’t change that it’s fucking Fantastic.
It just goes to show that there’s nothing more reliable than Nintendo official hardware.
unless it’s an NDS
What can I say, moving parts!
shit man i remember reading about that in Nintendo Power like 13 years ago, hehe
Nice. I saw this when I went to the Nintendo World Store a few months ago. I can’t believe it still works! XD
I think everything should be made out of old Game Boys…
someone should check that thing for radiation actually.
@ William
Don’t need to. I can see quite clearly it has a healthy green glow!
Also, in relation to your comment about making barracks out of gameboys…the old ones were basically bricks. At least they didn’t drain batteries like the Game Gear brick…
I bought an old one recently, with the intent of using it was a club.
hahaha, just kidding, I’m just playing pokemon on it.
also, who could forget about this?
