Game Music Central announced today that it would be releasing a compilation album, called “Best of the Best: A Tribute to Game Music.” The CD will feature music from composers that have worked on such games as God of War, Prince of Persia, World of Warcraft, and many others. The music will be all new performances of music inspired by some of the greatest games ever. Here’s the track list:

  8. “A Premonition” and “Chrono Trigger”, Inspired by Chrono Trigger™
  9. “Zanarkand”, Inspired by Final Fantasy™ X
  10. “That Was Then (This is Now)”, Inspired by Kingdom Hearts®
  11. “The Vengeful Spartan”, Inspired by God of War™
  12. “Medal of Honor Improvisation”, Inspired by Medal of Honor™
  13. “The Legend of Zelda”, Inspired by The Legend of Zelda®
  14. “Grabbag”, Inspired by Duke Nukem®

    A nice collection of music, granted some on there I wouldn’t have…but where is Halo music? Granted some might not love the game, the music in it was absolutely brilliant.
