You may have seen the trailers for the upcoming film, Jumper, starring Hayden Christensen and Samuel L. Jackson, about a group of people with the ability to teleport instantly to anywhere in the world and the “Paladins” trying to eliminate them. Well, like any major action film release, this one’s getting a video game to go with it as well. Brash Entertainment has announced they are developing a game that should be released in February of next year, along with the film. The developers are working with Twentieth Century Fox on the title, and it should be available on the PS2, Wii, and Xbox 360.

“Jumper is shaping up to be the action adventure film of 2008, and Brash is excited to be there, at the beginning, with a game that further explores the Jumper universe,” said Mitch Davis, co-founder and CEO of Brash Entertainment. “We’ve been working closely with our partners at Twentieth Century Fox to create a game that delves into the world of the Jumpers and the Paladins.”

While the movie looks really cool, I’ve been burned enough in the past to not get excited about a movie tie-in game. I suppose it could be fun to play a character like the X-Men’s Nightcrawler…wait, didn’t they do that already? And wasn’t it absolutely, horrifically, childhood-scarringly terrible? My doom meter is going off.
