The fast-paced MMORPG, Fury, has had its share of troubles at retail with minimal sales success, but the developer is still hoping to turn that around. Starting December 14th, a new patch for the game will introduce the “Chosen” player type. “Chosen” players will be able to play for free, but will gather gold and experience at a much slower rate than those who pay the $10 a month subscription. Unfortunately, this news comes along with rumors that the developer, Auran, may be going through a round of layoffs soon. CEO Tony Hilliam stated recently that some “bad news” may be announced soon from the development studio. That’s certainly never a good sign.
