FunnyOrDie.com Branching Out Into Video Games

funnyordie.pngOdds are, you’re familiar with FunnyOrDie.com, the comedy video site co-founded by Will Ferrel (or at the very least, you’re probably familiar with the video on there of him being berated by a toddler). Well now it looks like the whole “Funny or Die” company is branching out to include a video game site under its wing. CEO Dick Glover was probably teased a lot as a child due to his unfortunate name explained some of their plans for the new site:

“The video game site will not be a game-playing site,” said Glover. “If we became a game-playing site, that actually limits who we could partner with, who we could align with, and advertisers we could get…We want to do a very broad-based site. Whether you’re my age and playing Pac-Man is your idea of a video game, or you’re younger and at the highest levels of Halo 3, or you’re in a retirement home, we’re going to have something for you on this site.”

Uh…huh? So it’s video game site that won’t have you playing games, is suited for all ages, and will probably involve a lot of comedy. My first guess would be he’s talking about a gaming news/parody site — especially since they recently decided to turn another site, Blue Collar Or Die, into a ocmedic news site – which could turn out pretty good if done right. They plan to launch the site within the next six weeks, so we’ll probably find out just what he’s talking about then.

Yeah, I really don't get what they're doing. There's some funny stuff on that site, though.

Aside from this horrifically annoying girl, this is hilarious: http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/a77cce5dcf
