Major Nelson has announced new downloadable content is available for Rock Band on Xbox Live. offerings including “Rock ‘n’ Roll Dream” by Crooked X, Avenged Sevenfold’s “Critical Acclaim” and “Afterlife” and “Hammerhead” by The Offspring. Unfortunately none of the downloads are available in Asia, Australia or New Zealand yet. Full details on the DLC follow the break.
I continue to be disappointed by the amount of DLC available from big name bands as compared to lesser known groups. It’s great to give up and coming bands more exposure. Still it’s hard to spend money on songs you’re unfamiliar with.

Are you calling Avenged Sevenfold and Offspring “indie” groups?
They have both been around for a long time, particularly offspring.
BTW I bought all of the songs besides the Crooked X song. They all rock HARD, particularly the A7X songs.
@da soc: Nope, but there are a large number of niche or “unknown” bands that seem to be getting the brunt of the recent DLC attention.
