Former Activision VP Joins D3Publisher of America

Former Vice President of Acquisitions for Activision Bill Anker has joined D3Publisher of America as VP of business development and licensing.

As VP, Anker is in charge of D3PA’s global content and product acquisition as well as developing relationships with licensors to build interactive entertainment based on licensed franchise brands.

Anker began his business career in 1985 at Softkat. He’s held leadership positions at Merisel’s and Activision. At Activision, as Vice President of Acquisitions he helped grow the company to more than 1500 employees worldwide with over $1 billion in annual sales.

“Bill brings more than 20 years of experience in the software business to D3PA,” said Yoji Takenaka, the company’s executive vice president and chief operating officer. “His experience and relationships will be key in acquiring opportunities that include original intellectual property and licensing properties with the goal of driving D3PA to a greater position within the videogame publishing industry in the coming year.”
