XiticiX: Interesting question. Farmers are a huge impact on EVE, unlike a lot of other games from what I understand of it (I'm not an EVE player myself) but I guess I see the "you have to earn it" mentality as somewhat elitist. What about the idea of growing the game? Inviting casual players who can purchase resources so they can enjoy the game at the same level as the hard core player?

So if this money isn't from Farmers, how come I can buy 1billion ISK from the same seller, over and over again if I chose to?
Farmers hurt the economy of EVE-ONLINE by allowing people that would normally have to work for ISK to buy it outright, and purchase that fancy new Dreadnought they want so badly. If they lose it? Oh well, buy another one. This makes the market have fake fluctuations which damage the REAL players and REAL producers. It also allows players richer in RL to get further ahead in the game than those with modest means. Gamers need to be treated on equal footing, otherwise there is unbalance - which to a MMO is suicide.
