Not too much has been released regarding Folklore 3 from Sony Computer Entertainment. What is known is that so far it looks to be a single-player adventure for the PS3, and the screenshots and trailer look pretty awesome. According to the SCE website, this is the basic storyline of the game:
“Two strangers are drawn to the mysterious town of Doolin, where it is said that the living can speak to the dead. They soon learn the town serves as a gateway to fantastic worlds that exist beyond our own, realms full of creatures, fairies, spirits, and monsters. In order to solve the mystery of the town, the pair must journey through these worlds to discover their secrets. Will they have the courage to survive the adventure that awaits them?”
It is scheduled for release in October 2007, so more details and press releases should start to trickle out soon. Enjoy the screens and trailer for the time being.

“the mysterious town of Doolin” eh? is that Doolin as mentioned the Old Eagles song “Desperados”?
I think the lyrics went something like:
“They were Doolin, Doolin and Dalton, High or low, it was the same…”
I can see where these guys are coming from. No doubt our heroes will end up in the “Hotel California”.
I saw trailers for this “folklore” game while back it looked like the developers had gone over the top in imagery and creature design.
The best SFX are the understated ones, Like the 3D in Monster House and the new 3D Nightmare Before Christmas, it’s there but not in your face.
I hope the developers of Folklore have gone the same way otherwise it’s gonna be a buys messy game.
