Folklore – New Trailer for PS3 Exclusive

Coming in October, the single player PS3 exclusive Folklore tells the tale of Ellen, a sweet Irish lass who lost her mum when she was very young. Growing up she heard tales of a land called Doolin where the living can talk to the dead, and now she has found out that her mother might actually still be alive and she must travel to this strange realm to find her. Donning her cloak she ventures forth to fight strange creatures and fulfill her desire to reach her mother. A stranger names Keats (not the poet) joins her for his own reasons and together they must stop the “Folk” before their souls are devoured.
Having watched this trailer, I have to say that the battle scenes Sony and Game Republic show us look pretty typical of the adventure/fantasy genre. The music is reminiscent of what you would hear in the Harry Potter movies, and as far as Ellen’s cloak is concerned, I have seen Paris Hilton wear less tacky attire to the Teen Choice Awards. Despite all of this, the graphics won me over, the storyline has potential and the different creatures you will encounter are definitely out of the norm. Therefore, I can say with certainty that I would probably play this game.
All of this is a moot point though, since I do not own a PS3 and will never get to play Folklore because “we” do not plan on purchasing a PS3. Well, maybe I should take “me” out of that “we” because I would love to own one. Maybe I should just sneak and buy one next time he is out of town.

Yes sneak out and buy one… They are simple to hide…. and.. umm the 499+Tax Debit on the CC will easly be hidden as well
Looks like a FF The Spirits Within (Irish Edition). Very pretty nonetheless.
I’m pretty sure its been said before but, omg its friggen Lost Kingdoms on the PS3. =\
What a foolishly written article. Merely a tripe opinion piece with dry jokes. What business does someone who does not even own a ps3 have reviewing:
“All of this is a moot point though, since I do not own a PS3 and will never get to play Folklore because “we†do not plan on purchasing a PS3. Well, maybe I should take “me†out of that “we†because I would love to own one. Maybe I should just sneak and buy one next time he is out of town.”
What’s the point of even mentioning this??? Get some better writers.
Merik, I have every right to form an “opinion” on any trailer I watch. That is my JOB. If you will re-read the post, it is not a review. If it were a review, it would REFER TO IT AS SUCH in the header. There are many reviews on this site, peruse those if you wish to read one. This is just ‘news’ on a ‘trailer’. Get a sense of humor, and try a little tenderness. It will make your heart feel better.
Go play your PS3 and enjoy the fact that you or your parents could actually afford to purchase one, unlike some of us who cannot because we have other things that must come first. Unless, of course, you do not own a PS3, which means you should follow your own advise and ignore anything PS3 related because it would not technically concern you. When I do finally get my PS3, THEN you will have the right to get smarmy with me, but until that occurs, enjoy the site and be a bit more light hearted.
@Stephany, you rule, way to stick to that ignorant tool,
PS: Heavenly Sword is near release, you should pick up that ps3 soon
