Flock Steps Down: THQ Promotes two VPs

With Kelly Flock stepping down THQ has announced the promotion of Scott Guthrie and Ian Curran to the roles of executive vice presidents.
Guthrie has been promoted from his current position as senior vice president of North American sales and distribution. He will be taking the responsibility for sales, distribution, and marketing for North and South America as well as overseeing global brand management.
Curran is currently THQ’s international senior vice president. He will be responsible for all sales, distribution and marketing in countries outside the Americas.
“Ian and Scott have a combined thirty years of experience in publishing, including sales and marketing positions at leading entertainment and consumer products companies,” said Brian Farrell, president and CEO of THQ. “Under their leadership, THQ has significantly grown sales and market share in both North America and Europe.”
Flock, who is stepping down as executive vice president of worldwide publishing for personal reasons, will remain with THQ in a consulting capacity.
