Flim Rights Purchased for Legend: Hand of God

Legend: Hand of God, is a PC action RPG from a German developer named Anaconda and is slated for release in 2008. Ok, with that tidbit of information out of the way, let’s get to the point of this post.

Even though the game has yet to be released, the film rights have been purchased by none other than the bane of video games everywhere, Uwe Boll. The movie’s budget according to Boll, will be close to $40 million dollars and shooting will start in early 2009. Now that I have tainted my mind with this thought, let me vomit before I continue.

Boll’s full dance card this year includes: In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale still awaiting release, Postal, recently released and bashed to bits, and he is currently putting the finishing touches on his adaptation of Far Cry. While working on these foul crimes against humanity, Uwe Boll decided that he was not busy enough polluting cinemas and his employee’s resumes, so he decided to purchase the film rights to Legend: Hand of God - which now has the misfortune of being cursed before it is even released.

“I think Legend will be very successful because of its unique blend of high fantasy and dark atmosphere,” Boll explained from the set of Far Cry. “The world of Legend contains major crossover potential and was already adapted as novel and audio book.” For the storyline to one of the world’s most unlucky PC game click here.

The biggest question on my mind, and the world’s for that matter, is where in the pits of Hell will Boll get $40 million dollars to spend on this project? This just proves what I have thought all along – he IS the spawn of Satan, or Satan is his bitch – either way, once again I want to punch something. I should probably speak to a shrink about why I get so angry every time I see a picture or hear mention of this horrid beast of a man. It is not healthy.
