First Person Shooter – The Play – Opens Tonight

Tonight in soggy San Francisco, the play First Person Shooter premieres at the San Francisco Playhouse. Aaron Loeb, a game developer who works at Planet Moon Studios (Armed and Dangerous rules!) and wrote the play, penned this tale of a video game company that produces games with violent content. The company is at the height of success when the dashing young CEO is slammed with a lawsuit after his games are accused of being the direct cause of a school shooting.
Around the time of the Columbine Shootings, Aaron was working as a journalist who covered video games, and was intrigued with the idea of a play about people immersed in the violent video game quagmire. The play promises to provide an equal opportunity for all sides, while the actors portray a range of characters caught up in the dispute.
First Person Shooter opens tonight and will continue running until June 9th. For those of you who live near the San Francisco Playhouse, you can get tickets via the theater or online.
