First Look at Gameplay Footage for Ghostbusters Game

By Ron on Friday, November 16th, 2007 at 1:18 PM PST In Computer, Game Companies, Game Consoles, Game Platforms, Games, Microsoft, Nintendo, Nintendo, Portable, Sierra, Sony, Vivendi

We told you about the first screens for the new Ghostbusters game yesterday. Now, we didn’t know how far along production on this title was at that point. Heck, no one did. It turns out that things are farther along than we thought.

The game is being developed by the folks at Vivendi / Sierra, with a slated release for late next year on DS, PC, PS2, PS3, 360 and Wii.

The folks over at G4 TV have kindly provided us with the first look at gameplay footage from this upcoming title. Check it out, and remember, no matter what, don’t cross the streams. It would be bad. Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light. Yes, that bad.

Thanks, G4 TV!

    What the heck??

I looked at this news item earlier today and saw a really cool video of the gameplay BUT WITHOUT THE PEOPLE TALKING THROUGH IT. Does anyone know what happened to that video? That one was cool to watch, because it didn’t have the people talking through it!

  14. Ron Whitaker says:

@Silence: The footage was exclusive to G4 TV, and they obviously replaced the video you saw earlier with a video of them discussing it during AotS. I can’t say that I blame them. The new version looks much more polished than the original raw footage did.

  15. RB says:

i heard it was only on 360, but i’m glad it’s on wii, imagine using the proton gun with the wiimote, awesome!

  16. CJ says:

This game is going to be awesome. Its script is being written by the original script writers! It has to be awesome! Just wish they showed some footage of the ghost trap in action.

  17. CJ says:

Well.. more action then they showed..

  18. ian says:

Wouldnt it be cool if they could do a Back to the Future game as well! ahh the nostalgia lol.. hope the gameplay and plot is as good as the game looks!

Here is a video that I recently uploaded to my blog that shows more in-game footage than the G4 video shown above: http://2old2pwn.blogspot.com/2008/01/next-gen-ghoustbusters-game.html

After watching the video you know this game will be in the top ten games of 2008:smile:

Anytime four New Yorkers get into a cab together without arguing, a bank robbery has just taken place.

  22. tamam says:

bleh…i wouldn’t be surprised if this was a successful test, but i don’t think the Norks produced it. i suspect it was a small ex-Soviet device…perhaps an atomic shell from way-back-when (US equivalent was ‘Atomic Annie’). i find it interesting that Russia is the only one besides DPRK so far to come out and say 100% that it was an atomic device
