Finally: Movie Trailer Released for Fanboys

If you’ve been following the strange developments with the nerd-centric comedy, Fanboys — about a group of friends who decide to break into Skywalker Ranch to see Star Wars: Episode 1 in 1998 — then you know just the fact that we can watch this trailer now is a feat unto itself. The film has been finished for quite awhile now, but has been working its way through the corporate wringer for several months with plot changes and delays; none of which sat well with the real-life fanboys out there. Well now you can rest easy knowing that the film actually will be seeing release, hopefully this January.

The movie looks pretty entertaining based on the trailer; not “greatest movie ever” caliber, but certainly worth a watch. There’s no mention of the subplot about one of the characters having cancer in the video, so I’m guessing that was scrapped. At this point though, I’m just glad we may get a chance to see the film at all. Besides, it’s got Kristin Bell in a Slave Leia outfit. What more do you need?
