Good news and sort of bad news regarding Far Cry 2. The good news is that the single-player campaign in Far Cry 2 will keep you busy for up to 50 hours or more depending on your style of gameplay according to producer, Louis-Pierre Pharand. However, no co-op mode is included with the game and this way mainly due to not only the size of the game but because of the Map Editor and multiplayer aspect.
“Just on single alone, gamers can potentially have close to 50 hours of game play. We decided to abandon it [co-op] for this installment simply because of the complexity and size of the game. Add the multi experience & the Map Editor… gamers will have their money’s worth with Far Cry2.”
You can read the full interview with Pharand over on CVG where the producer explains why Far Cry 2 is not just “another shooter” by clicking through the link.

Yeah, I didn’t foresee them putting coop into it, because every other feature was so awesome. No biggie though, still looks amazing.
@ bubbw:Far Cry 2 will be released on the 21st
awsome game, I am only dissapointed about the co op.. this option should be available… playing with friends online is where it is at, and will be for the future games to come… it is just more fun to play in a world of gamers…
