Far Cry 2 Developers Discuss New Engine in Video Blog

The developers of Far Cry 2 have released this video blog where the art director, Alex Amancio, discusses the brand new engine they created for the game. Essentially they spent two years working on this engine, which promises to support one of the most dynamic and expansive game worlds to date. Amancio talks about how all aspects of the environment can be affected in realistic ways by a variety of influences, such as higher winds causing leaves and branches to break away from trees. Hopefully their future video blogs delve into the new gameplay elements as well.
