Fallout 3 Screens Show Us Our Beloved Dog Meat

Bethesda has released some more screenshots from Fallout 3, and now we finally get to see what our canine companion Dog Meat looks like in this installment. Ah, Dog Meat… you would not believe the amount of times I reloaded the game every time he died just so I could save him until the very end. I eventually accomplished it though, and I guess it was worth it – then again, maybe not. I need to stop bringing my real life love for dogs over into my video games because it makes playing a bit of a burden for me sometimes.
According to Pete Hines, you will meet Dog Meat once you have ventured off into the Washington wastelands, and as usual he will defend you but this time he will also find items hidden amongst the ruins so that you do not have to rummage through them yourself. Dog Meat will also not only be the only companion either, but Hines stated that Bethesda is still “working that one out”.
The other shots show a ghoul getting killed by a mini-gun and your Birthday celebration in Vault 101. It is nice to know that Birthday’s still count in the ravaged future of the world.

Well this Dog may be named Dog Meat but the dog in fallout 1 was named Dogmeat
