GDC is a big day for Xbox 360 fans and the gaming industry as a whole, and what better way to get the hype up and running than by giving you some information on Fable 2. Later today, more information is sure to surface, but for now here are just some of the details that are to be announced later today.
- Mini-maps have been dropped and replaced by a a GPS system similar to GTA
- Eight magic spells will be available for your character with five levels of power
- Any house in the game can be bought and occupied by you and your family and each one will open different quests
- The world in Fable 2 is 20-30 times larger than the last installment (which we already knew)
- The game consists of dynamic weather and seasons (which we already knew)
- Gambling games will be Wizard’s Tower and Mage Dice and could be available as separate downloads or in a single download (read more about this here in a previous post). More on that should be announced today sometime.
- Players will be able to play these gambling games in-game whether they have purchased them from XBL or not.
- A third, as of yet unannounced XBLA game is attached to Fable 2 as well
This is just a sampling of what is expected to be announced sometime today, so stick around because we will be sure to give you the low-down as soon as it hits.

Only 8 spells? That’s considerably less than the first game. How are they going to justify that, other than giving 5 levels of power per?
THEY AINT, is HOW. GAES
