The Eye of Judgment E3 2007 Trailer

In addition to the obligatory crazy friend to play with (online play is included, but the real fun is in-person), The Eye of Judgment finally has a price attached to it, and it’s not all that bad – $70 will net you the game disc, PlayStation Eye camera, camera stand, battle mat (I like the sound of that – the battle mat), 30-card starter deck, and an eight-card booster pack. Considering the Xbox Live Vision Camera runs for $40, this is certainly the better deal.

There will be additional booster packs available for $3.75 and theme decks for $14.99. Five decks will be available at launch, with more to be released at a later time. Downloadable content haters must be somewhat happy – at least your bonus content is tangible this time around.

A few things to note: Yes, it’s “Judgment” and not “Judgement.” There are measures being taken to insure that cheating isn’t prevalent online. The Eye of Judgment ships October 23.

Its a far higher spec bit of kit as well. The Xbox camera operates at 30 fps for 640 x 480 while the PlayStation Eye operates at 60fps for 640 x 480 and also 120fps for 320 x 240. Plus it has a built in mic with noise reduction.

I’ve always been a closeted card gamer. I never bought any actual card games, but if I was ever around anyone playing a card game, I’d always try to join in by borrowing one of the players cards to try it out.

I have a feeling I’m going to end up buying this game because it brings both of my sicknesses together… video games and card battle games
