Explosive Necrovision Trailer Rewrites the History Books

The new trailer for Necrovision, from 505 Games and published under the 1C label, gives a horrifying vision of World War I that you didn’t learn about in history lessons…and personally I think that it would have made High School History a heck of a lot more fun if told in this manner.

Necrovision is an upcoming first-person shooter from developer The Farm 51, blends historical detail with nightmarish horror. You play as Simon Bukner, an American soldier who decides to help the British effort to take out the German threat–but that’s only the start of his troubles and Bukner soon realizes that there’s something far more terrible stirring in the trenches.

Dead soldiers have are rising up from the grave hungry for flesh, while a battle between vampires and demons threatens to spill over out of Hell as an insane German scientist builds a giant mechanical scorpion armed with a flamethrower. This is definitely not something that your great-great grandfather would have fun into on the Western Front.

In the new trailer posted above, you get a glimpse into this strange world as Bukner blasts his way through undead German soldiers, hulking trolls, ninja vampires and fire-breathing dragons before finally hinting at one of the epic boss battles.

Ninja vampires? I am really gonna have to play this game when it is released during the first part of 2009 for the PC and Xbox 360. I mean, come on…how many games actually have ninja vampires in them?
