EverQuest 2 Audio Dev Diary

SOE has a new Audio developer diary up for EverQuest II featuring character animator Steve Kim. Although he’s had no formal training in animation, Kim does 3D modeling, texturing, and lighting in addition to his job character rigging for SOE.
He’s also known for his strange creatures. He credits his unique non traditional perspective and childhood love of anime as inspiration for his creations.
You would think Kim was a gamer, but he’s doesn’t even own a console. He’s only played EQ2 once under company orders. I guess it just goes to show that you don’t have to love to play the game; you just have to love to create.
