Paradox Interactive have released a new trailer for Vae Victis, the expansion to their PC strategy game Europa Universalis: Rome. The game came out on November 19 exclusively through the digital download services GamersGate and Direct2Drive for $9.99. If you are a fan of the game, or are just thinking about playing it, the trailer posted above should please you somewhat.
For those unfamiliar with the game, it is set during the golden age of the Roman Republic when the Senate ruled the Empire, and the expansion Vae Victis features a massive number of additions and improvements to the original game. An overview of these key changes begins with government, which has received a lot of attention in order to produce more fluid and balanced gameplay and the cast of historical characters of the ancient world have also had a significant overhaul across a variety of areas and you can also expect the addition of missions, decisions and laws, and the insertion of a huge amount of new content.
This is not a stand alone expansion however, and you must have Europa Universalis: Rome installed on your system to play it.

Awesome game and expansion… but the trailer isn’t terribly good, let alone the fact it relies heavily on being able to read the text and you can’t really in the above video.
