Eidos Reveals New Wii RPG: Monster Lab

Eidos has revealed what’s been lurking in its closet; Monster Lab. The game is a new action RPG in development by Backbone exclusively for the Wii virtual console.
With monsters on the rampage the player takes on the role of Proffessor Fuseless to bring the situation back under control. Monster Lab features Pokémon-style gameplay with the Prof. using customizable monstrosities to fight turnbased battles. There are hundreds of parts with which to create tyour ultimate fighting team. I’m thinking Frankenstein’s monster.
Monster Lab will take advantage of the Wiimote’s full capabilities in a variety of mini games. Eidos is looking into online play, hopefully with global battles and monster trading in mind.
Gamers should be building their own stable of monsters with Monster Lab in 2008. Screenshots should be coming out soon.
