Eidos France Director Mentions New Deus Ex Game in the Works

Peter Melchior, the Director of Eidos France, recently let slip in a TV interview that the company is planning a third Deus Ex game. Reviving the acclaimed cyber-punk franchise seems to be a step towards making Eidos France a more major player in the gaming industry. However the series’ creator, Warren Spector, will not be involved with this installment.

The original Deus Ex continues to top “Best Games of All Time” lists and with good reason. It was one of the first titles that gave you multiple paths to follow and mixed in some solid RPG elements into a shooter. It pretty much broke down the ideas of what a game could do, paving the way for many more nonlinear style of gameplay. But you know, no pressure, Eidos.
