EA’s SKATE Demo Delayed

Demos here, demos there, demos everywhere. Eternal Sonata, Stranglehold, and Bioshock, the recent releases of these incredible demos have sent my seasonal expectations into overdrive. What would make these last couple of weeks complete? How about the SKATE demo from EA? Sure, why not?
Well, looks like we may have to wait another week. EA has just announced that they are going to miss their SKATE demo expected release of 8/15, (On Xbox Live, no current date for PS3 demo) using the extra development time to work out some of the kinks. What kinks you ask? Well, here’s the official word from the EA spokesperson.
“We are trying something completely new for an Xbox Marketplace demo in allowing people to play the game and upload footage they take in-game to our Skate website. The skate.reel video upload functionality is much more technically complex than a standard offline demo, and the number of moving parts have resulted in undue & hard-to-predict delays.”
You can make online skate videos with the DEMO? Cripes, kiss my social life goodbye. Luckily for us, the word from the official forums is that the expected delay should not last more than a week.
PS3/XBox … glad you all have your preferences and opinions … bottom-line is these games should STILL be released on PC. First the Tony Hawk game line decides to blow off the PC market, and now EA pumps out a pretty sweet lookin game and they blow off PC users as well … uncool.
yeah well … why don’t they just pay attention to the pc gamers right off the bat its ea for christ sakes …. i joined the 8800 club for crysis and i’m stoked and all but i have to buy a 360 just to play skate? now i don’t even want to be a skateboarder anymore ahahah this is bullshit. skateboarding games usually play nice on a console. But Id rather play them on the pc for better graphics, and more control options. Hopefully EA considers putting it on pc and they also make a GOOD port if they plan on doing it *crosses Fingers*

PC is FAR better than any console out there.
1. More upgradeable
2. More reliable, no red rings or overheats.
3. Less expensive. Sure it takes a money start, but you save money over time just downloading the games.
4. You get to pick which maps or game types you want to play in the multiplayers.
5. You got multiple controllers you can use.
6. More space
7. UNCAPPED FPS IN MOST GAMES!! Gears of war PWNS on PC, same with halo 2, running them in high resolutions and getting over 100 FPS.
8. Free Games
9. Free movies
10. Free music
11. Too many other good things to count.

yeah … really wish a pc version would come out already … ea skate 2 will be out soon and i still don’t wanna put up the money for a ps3 , 360 is a bargain but that live bull … online should be for free if you already pay for your internet. maybe get the metal gear 4 bundle and stop being such a noob i guess.

this is a good game although its a big turn for ea since it blows fat monkey balls. i got a pc ps3 and xbox 360 and let me tell you the 360 is way better for the games but for quality control its very not worth the money. ps3 for life.
