Early Perfect Dark Zero Footage For Original Xbox

You might be wondering what the deal with the above video is considering Perfect Dark Zero was never on the original Xbox. Apparently, Rare was developing PDZ for the original Xbox, until Microsoft provided them with Xbox 360 development tools and the original version of the game was scrapped. The video is an interesting look at what could have been. This is obviously a very early version considering there are no enemies or real gameplay going on. I’m not sure how far into development they were or if they were able to use any of the original game for the 360 version. Unfortunately PDZ was not well-received on the 360, so I have to wonder if we’ll ever see the series on the system again. The original Perfect Dark on the Nintendo 64 was a game my friends and I were completely addicted to for an entire summer. I hate to believe it, but the 64 game was better than the 360 Perfect Dark is today.
Yeah i bought the game just recently (can’t beat 15$) in hopes of recreating the fun matches of bot killing with my brother. Unfortunately the sounds all buggy, with a deafeningly loud ‘echo’ like sound superimposing it over the gameplay making it unplayable. A shame really because if that weren’t a problem i am sure i could have at least enjoyed the multiplayer….
yeah multiplayer matches on the original were great fun. I’d like to see them take another crack at the series.. it seems PDZ was rushed on the 360 or something. The game just didn’t feel complete in any way.
Perfect Dark has always sucked is just a really horrible real bad game just like the rest of the Xbox catalog…

Zero was pretty terrible which I was unbelievably disappointed in finding out, being such a huge huge fan of the original. I’d be kind of surprised if the series is dead, given what a huge market for FPSs there is on 360.
