Electronic Arts is taking a new approach to an old favorite. News 8 Austin has the scoop on EA’s newest addition to the Sims games. MySims is coming exclusively to Nintendo’s Wii and DS. As always, there is no win or lose, you just play the game. The premise is that you are a master craftsman/social director brought in to restore a town and it’s citizens to its former glory. MySims lead designer Robin Hunicke describes game play.
“So what you’re going to be doing is you’re going to be going around socializing with Sims, finding out what they need what’s missing from the town, what they’d like to see and then you go around and you collect things from the world. For example, you may pick up some apples or black roses you’ll find or dig up in the space. Then you go to your workshop where you can build objects and you can exchange them with the Sims to help them be happier and the town will grow.”
You will be able to design and build your own custom objects to fill your world. Based on the amount of custom content already available for other Sims games, this title promises to cash in all those would be designers out there. MySims is scheduled for release September 5.
