Rumors of a sequel to the Knights of the Old Republic series seem appear briefly before being shot down; only to rise again. The latest resurrection of the rumor occurred over a slide EA CEO John Riccitiello presented to analysts that lead some to believe EA may be developing sequels for BioWare’s KOTOR and Criterion’s Black.
EA has responded by saying that games listed on the slide are not necessarily in production at this time.
“The slide in John’s presentation is titled ‘Best Creative Talent’–it addresses future and past titles,” EA told Shacknews. “KOTOR, Black, Boogie, Skate and some other titles on the slide speak to past portfolio releases and the pedigree of the studio but do not specifically address future sequels.”
Like the best horror films, this episode has a rather ambiguous ending. EA announced sequels for many other listed games including Skate on a later presentation.
“The [previously announced] MMO in development at BioWare Austin is listed a ‘New MMO,’” EA’s statement continued in an attempt to prevent future misunderstandings. “We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.”

I’d bet the farm that KOTOR 3 is deep into development. LucasArts is famous for keeping the lid on things until they are at a presentable stage.
I, for one, would welcome a Black sequel.
Black was an awesome game despite it’s flaws.Hooked up to a good surround system it was almost orgasmic,on second thought it was a multiple sound orgasm like no other.A next gen sequel with MP,i would preorder today.
Please make Black 2.Hm how about a Black MMO console fps.Someone has to do it sooner or later……
