EA has released not one, not two, but three new trailers for their upcoming Tony Hawk competitor, SKATE. The game is looking to take skating games back to more realistic gameplay, plus it’s adding a new control scheme that uses just the two analog sticks to pull off tricks. The video above is my favorite of the three, since it features the best parts of any skating video really: people getting hurt bad. Even in CG form, these bails still look painful. The second video, called “Suburbs Sizzle,” features a bunch of skaters pulling off tricks in a suburban setting. The third video, called “Danny Deals,” features some guy talking about making different long-term skating plans. Yeah, that last one really doesn’t make a lot of sense, but the game still looks like it could bring some serious competition to the Tony Hawk franchise.
