will the games that they were working on be moved to another studio? I’m not saying they wont be missed for their creativeness but the show must go on. RIGHT?

I suspect that when he said “product quality, ship dates and profitability” that that was in ascending order of importance.

Saying:

Then:

“Closing EA Chicago is the toughest decision I’ve made in my career – one that in no way reflects on the talent and dedication of the people who work there”.

Kinda contradicts itself does it not? He is saying, EA Chicago can’t produce EA brand quality, dates and profit so their fired. Oh but of course they are very talented.

Not a stunning endorsement for their next job I’d say. Feel bad for them but of course I have no way of knowing if Gibeau is right or wrong, but given EA’s slightly evil borg rep, you always have to pull for the guy who just got sacked
