i gotta agree with both Joelteon and Chris. board games are always more fun with other people in the room, but let's face it, getting people together regularly can be a pain in the ass. plus a full board game can take hours, as opposed to 20-30 minutes on an electronic one. For that reason, I've probably played more digital versions of Risk and Catan than I have the physical versions. but yeah, this should seriously be an XBLA title (that's worked pretty well for Carcassone, Uno, Catan, and probably Lost Cities).

Pogo.com games would not be too expensive. That is, if they release it the same across the entire board. Pun intended.

Joelteon has a point. That being said, this could go over well with the Wii crowd.

But no PS3 support? Curious.

The crux with this is Monopoly is all about the individual rules you bring in when you're about to bankrupt to keep you going for a tiny bit longer...I like to make them suffer longer by lending them some money and then losing next turn on my 3/4 board ownership...ahem.

My point is, this is a(n un)friendly game that requires you, a board and some mates. When you add the PC, it automatically decreases the fun value of it as you've got to stick to the proper rule. I don't think I've played an 'interpretation' of Monopoly more than 3 times before a new and interesting twist.

I do begin to wonder why we need to digitize everything that isn't already. There's a reason it worked so well as a board game for so long...

The crux with this, I think, will be pricing. This seems like it should be an XBLA game, not a retail game you pay $30 or $40 for.
