E3 Moving Back to L.A.; Booth Babes Still Unemployed

This past E3 was more of a slimmer, stripped down version of the past shows, but that was only part of what annoyed many attendees. Many people were mainly annoyed by the fact that the major showcase had not only been toned down, but also split apart in separate conferences all over Santa Monica. Well, someone apparently listened to these complaints, because 2008’s E3 is already slated to take place in its old digs: the L.A. Convention Center. However, this does not mean that the show will be reverting back to its former grandeur. It will still consist primarily of smaller meetings and press events, but now they’ll all be in one central location.
This is good news I suppose, though mainly for members of the press. But while we’re on the subject, we should spare a moment for the poor booth babes, whose wonderful costumes still remain tucked away in a closet somewhere, never to be enjoyed by scores of gaming nerds. Truly, they are becoming an endangered species.
