Set in “The Lord of the Rings” universe of J.R.R. Tolkien, players will finally fight the entirety of these epic battles any way they want. In addition to crusading as the heroic forces of good, for the first time ever in a Lord of the Rings action title, they’ll conquer Middle-earth while playing as the legions of Sauron’s evil army, including Cave-trolls, Oliphaunts, the Balrog and Sauron himself.
Multiplayer and four-player online campaign co-op, will help round out your online experience, and with Hero-only Deathmatchs to be made available, there is also the Ring Bearer quest where one has to escape Ringwraiths with your only friend being your trusty dagger Sting.
In LotR: Conquest, gamers will be able to choose from different battles from the film such as Helm’s Deep, Pelennor Fields, Minas Tirith, The Black Gates, along with other skirmish areas such as Moria, The Shire and Weathertop. Some other battles or skirmishes that were not featured in the movies will be added as well, these will be from both the books and made up by the writers for the game but will remain true to Tolkien’s lore.
Expect a release date to be announced soon, plus the game is on hand at E3 this week, so expect more information to be made available from our guys in the field. Meanwhile, check out more of the new screens here.
