MotorStorm Pacific Rift E3 2008 Trailer

Without a doubt, the one thing the original MotorStorm had going for it were its beautiful graphics. But it simply wasn’t a completed game (hence why they’ve released such significant add-ons through the PlayStation Store since it was released), and its levels were pretty bare. Sure, it was set in the desert, but that made for a pretty boring experience unless you were really into kicking up dirt.

Pacific Rift looks much more exciting with its tropical island setting. From what I’ve heard out of E3, the tracks actually have stuff going on — whether that’s water you can drive through, which allows you to cool down your boost meter, or trees that fall down on the track and force you to change your approach — and that’s something I’m very much looking forward to. Hopefully I won’t feel so ripped off after I bring the game home this time.
