After 20 or so Dynasty Warriors games, and 20 or so Gundam games, both companies realized they were in a position where if they didn't bring something new to the table, or gain new fans to the series, then all was lost. The idea quickly came of creating Supernerds. Merging the Samurai/Ninja loving fans of Dynasty Warriors, with the Giant Robot/huge number of robots fighting at once fans of Gundam. Doing so would revitalize both the companies, prolong the titles, and allow them to make another game with the same formula but different title. Not to mention the fact that Supernerds would be able to persuade all of their friends that its a good game, and so they can take over the gaming industry.
