God why do we need ours consoles to everything? I think by this point in time everyone already has a dvd player and then some. I have 1 dvd-rom drive, 1 dvd-r drive, and 2 dvd players one of which is a very early model and the other cost me 20$.

Blah, also, sorry for double post, but in terms of this year for gaming, 2007 won’t be remembered for Halo 3 (it will, but it won’t be, “OMG, HALO 3 WAS ALL THERE WAS TO 2007″). Other than it maybe being year of the FPS, I think it’d be more practical to say year of the delay. Ir should that be, “2007, delayed to 2008″?

I’m betting the DVD enabled one will simply replace what there is. I have no problems with not having it, to be honest. In terms of DVD players I own, I have my PC, my PS2 and my 360…I’d like my Wii to have a harddrive, but other than that, doesn’t really need a DVD.

Why does the Wii need to play DVD’s ? i hate this 50 differnt types of consoles to confuse customers.. Wonder if any of these Hardware Dev’s have any idea how hard it is to explain to a customer what they need on a retail level….
