DS Lite Sales Hit 700k in Australia

Nintendo is pleased to announce DS Lite sales have hit the 700k mark and are still climbing in Australia, while the Wii continues to “perform well”.
Director of sales and marketing Rose Lappin also announced a sales line up for the remainder of the year which is guaranteed to push those figures higher still.
“This promises to be one of the most exciting times for the video game industry, I cannot remember a time when there were so many quality titles released that delivered to everyone.”
The Aussies are still waiting for Big Brain Academy and Metroid 3: Corruption which have done very well in the US and Europe as well as The Legend of Zelda:Phantom Hourglass, Super Mario Galaxy and Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles.
Nintendo’s success in this region reinforces the strong sales figures generated in both hardware and software on a global scale at this time.
