Comedian Drew Carey is going to take one for the team. The star is a fan of U.S. Soccer and in an effort to give back, he’s challenged members of the U.S. Mens and Women’s Soccer teams in Electronic Arts’ FIFA Soccer 07 on Microsoft’s Xbox Live! gaming service. The VIP-only event will be held at The Home Depot Center in Carson California on July 5th from 7-10 PM. Carey will pay $10,000 for each match he loses against 5 Mens and Women’s U.S. Soccer Team players. The remaining $50,000 will be put up should he lose in the main game against U.S. Team member and L.A. Galaxy striker Landon Donovan. The Mooch Myernick Memorial Fund receives the winnings for the event. Those interested, can bid on an Xbox 360 Elite signed by Carey and the soccer players on eBay starting June 6th as well.
