Dragon’s Lair Coming to HD-DVD

After showing the Blu-Ray some love, it seems the franchise with the most ports ever comes to HD-DVD and the Xbox 360. It is always confusing to me that a title that has fared so well over the years has yet to spawn a worthy sequel. (Note the term “worthy”) This game continues to sell decades after release, yet no other game developer has tried to make an updated version? I would imagine that the cost of creating the animation can’t be too much more expensive than hiring teams of 3D artists. For a game that seems to simple in its execution, its baffling to me why nobody else has even tried. Perhaps, once Dragon’s Lair has appeared on every electronics device imaginable, the creators will look toward the future. Until then, Dirk the Daring is here to stay.
