If you find out that he's a sucker for video games then you have to be willing to accept that or not be with him and find somone else. I understand that some guys never touched video games but then a few years into marriage they all of a sudden get really into a video game or something like that. But really if the video game did mean more to him then he didn't really love you in the first place. O and another thing maybe us girls could get into the video games...not like totally but enough to just play with him or something. That might show that you're willing to compromise. I just don't think the makers of xbox and other games are the ones to fully blame...that's there job! And us girls can at least "try" to change something, but I know that some guys are so bad that really there is no way to change there actions. But really if he loves you...video games should be nothing. I'm a girl that got hooked into DDR and I met my boyfriend that way so we always play together and it's lots of fun :grin:. But we both know our limits and we still have time for each other and other things. I try to tolerate his playing, but when I am being ignored and we are not true newlyweds, then I am upset. He jumps on the stupid game with complete strangers as soon as he walks in the door from work. He stops long enough to eat, then he jumps on for another quick game. When the kids go to bed, he jumps on again, until I make comments or beg him to get off the game to spend time with me. He feels I am overreacting. I am thinking about picking up a new hobby...one that he will not appreciate...while he is playing. I'm sure he will be so busy that he won't care. He will think, "Good! More Call of Duty time!" I've learned how to talk fast, but what kind of marriage is that. If I say anything about his excessive playing then he gets defensive. He says it's a stress reliever(although most of the time he's screaming at the tv) and he should be able to play as long as he wants to. Most nights I just fall asleep without talking to him. He's mean to our children if they try to interrupt him while he's playing. He will push our 23 month old son out of the way if he gets in front of the tv. He has told me to keep him quiet and away from the tv while he's playing. Most the time, I'm trying to cook and clean and watch our active toddler while he's sitting on his a** in front of the tv. How is that fair? We've had the xbox for 6 months now and I thought he would get over this phase by now but he hasn't. If this continues, I'm filing for divorce.
