Here’s a trailer for Dave Mirra BMX Challenge, which puts you on a bike and has you pulling off tricks to score points and unlockables. Sound familiar? Whenever I see an extreme biking game, the first thing that pops into my mind is “Tony Hawk on a bike,” because that’s usually what it is. Sure, it’s a winning formula: put the player on something with wheels and set them loose in a world where everything can be used to pull off a cool trick. Unfortunately, the Tony Hawk games still seem to consistently pull it off better. There’s a reason the old BMX games keep clogging the bargain bin at Best Buy. Let’s just hope the Wii version comes up with some cool control scheme, cause I don’t see that happening on the PSP version.
