Darth Vader and Yoda Join Soul Calibur IV

Well this is certainly coming out of the blue. People were wondering if the next Soul Calibur game would include any interesting guest stars — since number two had Heihachi, Spawn, and Link making appearances — but I don’t think anyone seriously expected this. Namco Bandai has just announced that Soul Calibur IV will feature Darth Vader and Yoda from Star Wars as playable characters. I kid you not. This makes me wonder if they’ll spout off classic quotes when they win a match, as if the Soul Calibur games needed to be any cheesier. At the very least you can expect them to play a lot better than in that godawful Masters of the Teras Kasi game. You can see more pictures of the two in action at 1Up’s site.

I know a few people who’ll probably buy the game for that reason alone.
Ha, i am waiting to buy this game regardless heh, just a question of which system. I love the fighting mechanics in the Soul Calibur series, VF5 was just too rigid…or something was just off putting. Now my question is are these two fighters going to be platform specific? The link and Spawn thing were based on what system you had it for…at least as far as i remember.
Namco +1 sales from me.
A good idea this is. Much publicity this game will gain from alone this move. Away from the traditional characters extending, into the realm of the wider known, increase interest it will.
They should include Jar Jar Binks as a playable character as well…..if nothing else so I can kick his ass over and over again….
WHY DOSE YODA HAVE TO HERE? i understand DV but why yoda it sucks i dont want to get my but kicked by a midget.
