Darkness Within: The Pursuit of Loath Nolder – New Trailer

Lighthouse and Zoetrope Interactive provided us with a new trailer today for their their psychological horror-adventure game, Darkness Within: In Pursuit of Loath Nolder. Scheduled to release on Halloween for the PC, the developers boast that the game stays true to the works of H.P. Lovecraft, by combining themes such as the occult, nightmares and paranormal events.

The trailer features the eerie surroundings of the Wellsmoth Mental Institution, and gives players a peek into the game, although it is a bit short and mostly relies on quotes describing the game instead of actual gameplay. Nonetheless, I was very pleased with how the game looks thus far, especially the image you see while looking through a window. The drapes are billowing in the breeze, and give you glimpses of a hauntingly bright moon with what appear to be ravens scouting for their next meal. Could their next meal be your murdered corpse? Mwha ha ha ha! Sorry, I just had to do that.
