Crytek Threatens to Leave Germany if the Country Bans Violent Video Game

A German ban may mean no more business from Crytek. And this may be the first time a developer has threatened to pull up stakes.
There hasn’t been a whole lot of reactions other than displeasure and disdain from developers at failed attempts to get violent video games on the market. But Crytek, makers of FarCry and the CryENGINE, is pissed.
“Budapest is a lovely city. We already have a branch office there”, Avni Yerli, company founder, told Heise Online.
According to the article, Crytek is the only video game company within the nation to have “elite” status, which probably means it’s the only company in the country worth much in terms of the gaming industry. The decision of the Conference of Interior Ministers will inevitably determine the location of Crytek’s headquarters.

Yeah, thats the way to show this guys what we think about their politics against gaming.
I am german myself and i’ve been thinking about emigrating to Canada due to the job-situation and the censorship in our country. Hopefully the last point will be off the table now.
